In honor of Women's History Month, Katherine of Katherine Jury and I have collaborated on a series of art prints that celebrate and share five empowering, fun and thought-provoking quotes by female leaders, activists and creatives. In a series of 5 prints, my lettering overlays Katherine's stunning artwork.

100% of the net proceeds of this project will be donated to Step Up, an organization that is investing time and resources into the lives of young women in under-resourced neighborhoods in NY, LA and Chicago. Want to learn more about Step Up? Click here or watch the 2-minute video below.

DON'T CALL IT A COME BACK

Pommel & Co. Moodboard - 2016 // pommel.co

"It's really strange to be back here."

That's what my inner dialogue is saying right now. My last post was on March 13, 2015. That's 311 days ago. I don't know about you but that number might as well be 365 days.

It is going to take me awhile before I'm able to sit down with you guys and really explain what happened in 2015. It wasn't a bad year but it was a year of internal struggle. I've let a lot of people down both close to me and barely acquaintances. Most of all, I let down myself because in March of 2015, I gave up on Pommel Lane. There really isn't any other way to say it. It didn't happen all at once, it slowly came and just happened.

Those details really are for another day though. It would just be a spilling of disjointed thoughts for you to try and wrap your head around and read. So while I collect those thoughts I want to say a few things:

  1. Thank you. No seriously, THANK YOU. Even though I've been gone from this space, it's influence is still out there. Every so often when you find this place and leave a comment hoping I'll come back, it makes my month. I can't express what it means to have you here reminding me that even though I stepped away, it doesn't mean I can't ever come back. You are my light.
  2. If you are struggling, it's okay. It will be okay. You definitely aren't alone. Make sure to never completely block out the world. They will be your saving grace if you let them. Trust me, I know.
  3. I'm really excited to be motivated and energized to come back to this space. Like Oprah says in her new WeightWatcher's commercials, haha, "2016, the year of your best body." While she may mean physically, my focus is internal. This will be there year where I come into myself, get in touch with myself and move forward with an awareness I haven't had before. I wish the same for each of you.

With all of this new motivation has come a more refined vision for Pommel Lane. This moodboard isn't that different from the first but I think it speaks volumes to the feeling I want to bring to this space. I can't wait to unveil what I have been cooking up and you wont have to wait long.

Be sure to stay tuned for the launch on FEBRUARY 1ST!!!

Much love,

xoxohannah
