moving day is approaching

I keep claiming to end the radio silence and clearly that isn't actually getting accomplished so I'm going to stop saying it.

We had been looking around for new apartments because we weren't interested in renewing our current lease (no matter how gorgeous the unit was). We definitely didn't expect to sign a lease so quickly but we found an apartment we couldn't pass up. After raising Abe on the 6th floor and taking him up and down the stairs 3-5 times a day, we are just over it. We are so excited to move into our first floor unit with an attached garage AND driveway. No fighting for spaces. It's going to be heaven...

Above all else we are very thankful that it is a little bit bigger and sort of a lot less expensive. Even if we are farther from the city, we are a-okay with it. Pictured above is the "sunroom" which will become my desk/creative studio area. Lots of big plans are swirling in my head about projects and things to make for, do in, and share about the new place. It feels like years since I was this inspired last. It is a wonderful feeling.

We move in this weekend and it will be an adventure with several timers on our abilities. It's like our own moving Olympics. We've been perfecting these skills for YEARS now and it will definitely be putting us to the test. WISH US LUCK! We will most certainly need it. You can follow along on Instagram (#jckhmrmovesagain) for updates because I'm sure I will be whining about my muscles and procrastinating the unpacking. If I'm being honest.

So I hope everyone is having a great January so far, I can't believe I'm going to blink and it will be over already. I certainly cannot wait to see what February brings.

p.s. Yes, I'm fully aware that it will be in the mid to high 20s when we move, and probably lots of snow. Yes, I'm crying inside. Wish me warmth!
