This week reminded me that winter is coming at us full speed ahead. Winter is the hardest part of the year for me, especially here on the east coast. I feel like the season you were born into is always the easiest and the polar opposites always end up being the most difficult. My dad, brother, and James were all born between December and February and they always act like winter is no big deal. I'm gonna say it... JEALOUS. I'm a big old weenie when it comes to the cold.
I'm so excited to make our annual mini feast again for Thanksgiving this year so look out for pictures of that again. Seriously, it's probably my favorite cooking event of the year. Cornish Game Hens, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and apple pie. SIGN ME UP! It will also be really nice to have a bit of a break from work with a long weekend to get ready for the madness that most of December will bring. Before long I'll be packing my bags for my final work trip of the year and getting ready to ring in 2014. But for the week I fully intend to enjoy every little moment that comes my way. That is for sure.
This week I found some amazing posts, articles, and downright noteworthy things:
First, I have to share this post on procrastination. I have been and hope to not always be a procrastinator. Yes, I definitely have a monkey in my head. lol
This beautiful story. If you need a good 6 min cry... you're welcome.
A gratitude desktop background.
In case you need a smile ;)
Definitely wishing I had a reason to get dressed up during the holidays.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR THANKSGIVING? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION?
